| Abstract: | The services provided by hyperbaric chamber life support systems are described in very basic terms. The fundamental equations which govern the performance of the CO2 removal system are presented and described in terms understandable to personnel unfamiliar with the principles of engineering. The basic relationships which govern the performance of the temperature and humidity control systems are also described. This report is designed to foster a better understanding of life support system operation by chamber operators and by non engineering end users in the position of specifying the performance capabilities of new construction systems.
