| Abstract: | A clinical series of 100 cases of decompression sickness, as it affects sport and civilian divers, is presented. The clinical manifestations are more diverse and more serious than described in other series, with greater preponderance of central nervous system cases. Reasons for this are suggested, and recommendations for greater diving safety are made. Assessment of the efficacy of current therapy suggests that this may be of much benefit to the patient despite protracted delays. |
