Title: Evaluation of the U.S.N. Lightweight Diving Mask (Jack Browne).
Author: Middleton, JR
Abstract: The U.S.N Lightweight Diving Mask (Jack Browne) was tested unmanned by NEDU in May 1978. The tests evaluated mask flow rates and breathing resistance at varying O/B pressures. Results predict the mask would support light and moderate diver work rates but is incapable of supporting a hard working diver even at shallow depths. The Jack Browne therefore does not meet the basic requirement of supporting a diver in an emergency situation or safely performing heavy work at any depth. (Author)
