Title: Control of decompression by analogue computer.

Abstract: The control of decompression in man using pneumatic analogue computers is described with particular emphasis upon random and repetitive diving on compressed air. The computers, designed as an integral part of a diving system, provide visual information to carry out a continuous ascent profile. The flexibility and reliability of pneumatic analogue computers in series and parallel configuration during 1330 dives over a wide range of depths and times is illustrated. Further experience in the management of decompression sickness supports the regime using 100% oxygen at low pressure, devised by Workman.
