dc.description.abstract The endurance of carbon dioxide absorbent canister in diving equipment utilizing pendulum gas flow can be extended by increasing the length of the canister. The "dead space" of the pendulum equipment can be reduced by utilizing circuit breathing tubes with unidirectional valves, without having to relinquish the more efficient pendulum flow through the carbon dioxide absorbent canister. These modifications allow for a more than 50% increase in endurance. en
