Ventilator function under hyperbaric conditions.

Abstract

Assisted ventilation in the hyperbaric chamber presents challenges and risks due to machine and patient related problems. These problems and how to minimize them are discussed. The requirements of the ideal ventilator for use under pressure are detailed and so far few ventilators have satisfied these requirements.
