Abstract:
|
Results of this two-year study showed that Naval personnel who received the combined treatment of three topical stannous fluoride-containing agents,--prophylactic paste, topical aqueous solution, and dentifrice, had the lowest caries-attack rate. As a result of this and earlier studies, the U. S. Navy Dental Corps has begun a preventive dentistry program which will bring this type of treatment to all U. S. Navy and Marine Corps personnel.
